The connection between music and urban space is addressed in the article by Panzuto and Salone (for an earlier examination of the subject in RGI, see the 4/2019 issue. The article's focus is on the phenomenon of trap music in Turin's Barriera di Milano neighborhood.
The study of the historical development of agricultural landscapes that are valuable and deserving of preservation is included in the article by Gabellieri. The case study in question in the essay compares olive orchards in the Sarca Valley of Trentino and Lower Western Liguria regions.
The last two articles are related by the topic of environmental policy, but they do so using quite distinct scales and methodologies. The discussion of the potential impacts of climate change on the phenomenon of tourism in the near future is introduced in the article by Magnani, while the article by Zinzani highlights the divergent or conflicting planning of stakeholders regarding the Dolomites, particularly in light of the 2026 Olympic Games.
The Opinions section, edited by Bolocan and Dini. contains a sizable collection of brief but dense writings that were the result of the interventions made at the seminar held on February 13, 2023, at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, and which was held in honor of Giovanni Arrighi, whose Adam Smith in Beijing (2007) essay is essential to understanding the 'world system' as a whole.
The Book reviews section includes 8 book reviews; these cover environmental issues, landscape and heritage issues, as well as the history of geographic thought.
