Since the 2021-2022 academic year, the research group at the University of Florence, Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology (Forlilpsi), has been conducting aggregated monitoring of school dropout data, drawing on regional and national open data sources. Following this initial phase, the group focused on developing a tool capable of identifying the actual needs of students within educational institutions.
The aim was to implement a school dropout prevention model that, through specific surveys, enabled the anonymous identification of both individual student needs and those of the class as a whole. The questionnaire can be administered on a national scale and may serve as a basis for designing targeted interventions, as well as supporting mentoring and guidance activities in alignment with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
