On 5 May 2026, the conference “Thirty years of the Italian Framework Law on Environmental Noise: assessment and perspectives” was held in Rome at Sapienza University of Rome. The event marked the thirtieth anniversary of Law no. 447 of 26 October 1995 and provided an opportunity for discussion among institutions, environmental protection agencies, universities, professionals, infrastructure managers, standardization bodies and the scientific community. This report, prepared for the “Vita dell’Associazione” section, focuses in particular on the contribution of AIA as an authoritative and impartial technical-scientific interlocutor and as a meeting point for the Italian acoustics community.
