On 20 March 2026, the conference “The Sound of Ideas: A Tribute to Prof. Angelo Farina”, jointly organised by the Acoustical Society of Italy (AIA), the National Council of Engineers – Acoustics Working Group, the Professional body of Engineers of Parma, the Municipality of Parma, the University of Parma, The Audio Engineering Society od Italy (AES Italy) and the Italian Association of Applied Physics. The event served as a collective tribute to Prof. Farina’s scientific and personal legacy and provided an opportunity for discussion on in-novation in acoustics, the dialogue between research, the profession and industry, and the future prospects of the discipline. This article summarises its technical-scientific, institu-tional and commemorative content.
