The four papers published in this issue of the Rivista concern two nationwide surveys. Respectively: a critical analysis of the discourses on Italian inner areas, held since 2012 (the year of the launch of the "National Strategy" for them) until today; and a survey on the implementation of a pilot project recently adopted in the Netherlands for the management of irregular immigrants.
Two more papers respectively analyze the climate change adaptation policies adopted by the Liguria Region; and the role played by digital platforms, as medium between "space of places" and "space of flows": the case study is AirBnB in the city of Florence.
In this issue, the Rivista hosts a very particular "Opinion": Alberto Vanolo interacted with ChatGPT on the nature of geography; to our knowledge, this is the first debate published in Italy between an academic geographer and AI.
Finally, nine books are reviewed, including: an anthology of the writings by the situationist philosopher Guy Debord; three volumes concerning the topics of Political Ecology; two volumes from the fields of history of geography and historical geography.
