Geografie culturali delle intelligenze artificiali: sulla loro collocazione nel tempo e nello spazio
Abstract
Le intelligenze artificiali sono entrate nelle nostre vite quotidiane con apparente rapidità. Eppure, la loro collocazione nella sfera del tempo presente è complessa: da un lato, qualsiasi genealogia rivela come si tratti di tecnologie teorizzate da molto tempo, e dall’altro lato i loro effetti sembrano appartenere più al futuro che non al presente. Per esempio, probabilmente pochi o nessuno di noi, a oggi, è mai salito su un’auto a guida autonoma, si è mai visto recapitare un pacco da un drone automatico o ha mai interagito con i robot umanoidi ‘intelligenti’ di cui si parla oggi diffusamente. A partire da alcuni esempi e aneddoti concreti, ed esplorando il discorso sulle auto a guida autonoma nella città di Torino, l’articolo si interroga sulla collocazione delle intelligenze artificiali nello spazio-tempo politico.
