The term "inclusion" on the interpretative and descriptive level of social phenomena is offered with a plurality of meanings and characteristics that identify it, distinguishing it from other descriptive phenomena of the human being. In order to produce a state of the art and to identify the macro areas in which the term is used, the article proposes an analysis of its presence in Italian publishing through the interrogation of the On-line Public Access Catalog tool of the National Library Service. The focus of the analysis is the period from 1999 to 2019. From the analysis of the occurrences, macrocatergories can be inferred to which the titles of the works considered have been traced. It emerges a clear shift on the educational side that certainly feeds pedagogical disciplinary knowledge.
