Based on the findings of the Magna Charta Universitatum established during the Conference held in Budapest and Vienna on 11 and 12 March 2010, with a view to the creation of a European Higher Education Area (EHEA-European Higher Education Area) and as also provided in the Bologna Declaration (1999), that of education represents the highest value to influence the future of humanity, university autonomy, the indissolubility between teaching and research, the freedom of teaching. In the first decade of 2000 the Italian university has been invested by several measures aimed to introduce major changes in our higher education system. In the light of these principles and in accordance with the most recent rules, the aim of this article is to define a link between the degree courses currently present in the Italian higher education system and those defined at the legislative level and define guidelines and future perspectives.
