Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

My submission is an original unpublished work and is not under review with any other journal. The authors of papers accepted for publication will be asked to pay an APC (Article Processing Charge) of € 300,00 plus VAT (if applicable).

I have disclosed all co-authors (Step 3 of the submission process, button Add Author), who have seen and approved the final version of the paper, having agreed to its submission for publication.

I have disclosed all sources of financial support for the project.

I have disclosed in my manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of the manuscript.

I have indicated the DOI of all the articles included in the references (where it is available).

I have written my paper following the Instructions for the Authors, also available on publisher's website.

I have downloaded the LICENSE AGREEMENT, completed it and I will upload it in the Library, just after I finished the submission process.

I have prepared a file ensuring a blind peer review. Please remove any references to authors' names in the body of the manuscript and in the Properties of the file. If you submit a paper that contains authors' names, it will be returned to you for editing.

The preferred file format is PDF, but we also accept DOC, DOCX, ODT, RTF.

Suggested Reviewers
The submission must include a cover letter in which the authors provide the names, institutional affiliations, postal addresses, and e-mail addresses of up to four potential reviewers, along with relevant keywords for each. The Editor retains full discretion in deciding whether to invite the suggested reviewers.

Engagement with Previous Publications
Authors are encouraged to indicate in their cover letter which recently published article(s) in Economia agro-alimentare / Food Economy their study draws inspiration from or aims to contribute to. This helps ensure continuity and coherence in the journal’s scholarly conversation and may foster appropriate and relevant citation practices.

Declaration of Generative AI Use
Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies may be used exclusively to improve the language and readability of the manuscript, and only with appropriate caution. If such tools have been used, authors must include the following disclosure statement, placed before the References section:
“During the preparation of this article, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL / SERVICE] to [SPECIFY PURPOSE]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication.”
No statement is required if no such tools were used.
Author Guidelines
Starting 2020 Economia agro-alimentare will publish its articles under a Creative Commons License BY-NC-ND 4.0. The authors of papers accepted for publication will be asked to pay an APC (Article Processing Charge) of € 300,00 plus VAT (if applicable).
SIEA - Società Italiana di Economia Agro-Alimentare members will be exempt from payment of APC.
