Interventi di consulenza individuale e di gruppo per figli adulti di pazienti alcolisti. Un’esperienza clinica nell’ASST ovest Milanese

Abstract

Questo articolo si propone di esaminare se le strategie di prevenzione e intervento, delineate nei Servizi per le Dipendenze (SERD), debbano prestare particolare attenzione ai figli adulti di persone con Disturbo da Uso di Alcol (AUD). Attraverso una revisione approfondita della letteratura scientifica, viene esplorato l’impatto psicologico dell’essere cresciuti in famiglie con problemi legati all’abuso di alcol, evidenziando le possibili conseguenze negative sulla salute mentale e sulla qualità della vita dei figli di alcolisti. In linea con il Libro Bianco sull’Alcolismo del Ministero della Salute italiano del 2022, che promuove la prevenzione e il coinvolgimento delle famiglie nei programmi di trattamento, il Nucleo Operativo di Alcologia (ASST OVEST MI) di Legnano, Italia, ha offerto servizi di consulenza individuali e di gruppo specifici ai figli adulti. Dalle consulenze emerge il bisogno dei figli di: ascolto delle emozioni, soprattutto rabbia e sensi di colpa, prevenzione all’abuso alcolico e agli agiti violenti, educazione psico-sanitaria sui meccanismi della dipendenza e il coping In conclusione, questo articolo sottolinea l’importanza di considerare i figli adulti di alcolisti come una popolazione prioritaria nelle iniziative di prevenzione e trattamento delle dipendenze, fornendo una base per strategie sanitarie più complete e inclusive.
