The authors shared clinical, institutional, and educational considerations regarding an observation of team meetings of public Addiction Services. The observation of team meetings lasted four months, during a moment of transformation and reorganization of the Department and the Addiction Services, in which the needs of self-observation and conformity of the practices were noted. This opportunity was achieved with the participation of a student of group analysis and institutional psychotherapy, who could catch similarities and differences between the two professional teams (different backgrounds and stories, common current membership organization and necessity of rearrangement); moreover, the specializing psychotherapist listened to and highlighted aspects of the group, institution, and countertransference.
