Abstract

The psychotherapeutic treatment of cocaine addiction has undergone signifi cant transformations over time, moving from theoretical models rooted in psychoanalysis to psychotherapeutic interventions based on a more recent constructivist cognitive approach.
This article aims to examine the historical evolution of therapeutic approaches, emphasizing the theoretical and methodological differences and discussing the clinical implications of the various perspectives.
