The article presents a picture of the energy efficiency of healthcare facilities, assessed through a survey, to enable FIASO to develop policies to support the ecological transition that the NHS is also facing.
The results of this research represent the first analysis of actual data on energy consumption for all types of healthcare facilities (hospital, territorial, outpatient) and fill a knowledge gap in the field of energy efficiency. The concluding reflections provide directions for thinking about a possible green agenda for the NHS.
