The modernisation of healthcare buildings in the name of technological innovation and ecological transition

Abstract

Technological innovation and the ecological transition of healthcare also require the modernisation of the structures used for the provision of healthcare services. In order to explore these issues, the aim of this paper is to analyse the experience of the Brindisi Local Health Authority with regard to innovation and sustainability in the management of the building stock.
The analysis of the case allows us to highlight the criticalities and strengths of the process addressed and to develop some conclusive considerations useful to healthcare management.
