Towards new care models for patients with severe asthma: Ten proposals for the post- MD77 scenario

Abstract

With the beginning of 2023 the time has come for Regions and Local Health Authorities for starting to fill with content and service models the new or renewed community healthcare structures outlined by the Mission 6 of the PNRR and by the Ministerial Decree 77/22. In this era of change and innovation, not only the management has to define strategic priorities but also the communities of professionals need to think about how these new configurations can respond to the needs of their patients. This paper highlights the perspective of professionals who deal with patients with severe asthma through the development of ten proposals concerning population stratification logics, new models and services of territorial assistance, telemedicine and multichannel.
