Italia Contemporanea, Italy's first review of contemporary history, is the quarterly of the Istituto nazionale per la storia del movimento di liberazione in Italia (INSMLI). In 1974 it replaced "Il Movimento di liberazione in Italia", the journal founded by the Institute in 1949 as an expression of the Institute's scientific and cultural commitment.
