This paper aims to describe some important group dynamics that have led to the artistic and discographic creation of famous rock bands. Rock music is not only a means of expressing the ideas of new generations of listeners, but also an opportunity for artists to contain and hold their own selves and experiences. It is an art form often created through the collaboration of several arts (writing, music, singing). The band becomes a great communicative opportunity for this musical genre, precisely because it allows artists (often close and long-standing friends) with different instruments to collaborate, giving life to works rich in expressiveness. These creative threads also contain traumatic areas of the individuals, but also experiences that concern the life of the band itself and involve all its members, as in the case of Pink Floyd and the loss of one of its founding members, Syd Barrett.
