The article tells the story of the birth and spread of Reflective Citizen (RC) in Italy, a movement that promotes mutual listening and shared reflection among citizens. Initiated in Chieri in 2019 thanks to the influence of Marina Mojovic and the contribution of local citizens, RC has gradually expanded to numerous Italian cities – from Padua to Cinisi, from Rivoli to Crotone – forming a national network of 38 hosts and over 40 workshops. The workshops take place in both public and private spaces and give voice to citizens, fostering dialogue. The article explores and narrates the workshops held across the country and the unique features that emerge from each. RC is presented as a response to a widespread sense of social fragmentation, creating spaces for listening and exchange where dreams and lived experiences become tools for connection and transformation.
