Abstract

This article explores some elements concerning the relationship between mentalization and narrative ability in a therapeutic open homogeneous group for drug addicts in a therapeutic community for rehabilitation. Lack of mentalization and reflective capacity can be witnessed also from the quality of group narration and from contents that signal the presence of an archaic thought. I will explore some elements about group leading to show how the aim is the development of mentalization, introducing as a methodology “the group event story”.
