Abstract

Online group psychotherapy is a very recent experience in Italy, where it had never been practiced before the restrictions imposed by the health emergency. On that occasion, the group therapists made the transition from the presence setting to the online one, learning from direct experience how to manage the clinical relationship mediated by the screen, in particular with regard to the administration of the setting, the group dynamics and the leading style. These and other phenomena were investigated through a questionnaire completed by the group therapists after a few months of practice, which allowed to highlight impressions, experiences, difficulties and opportunities related to this new experience.
