We present a psychosocial intervention conducted during the three-year period 2016-2018, by a team of psychologists coordinated by A. D. of the Vicenza Medical Association for the world at the Centro de Acholhimento and de Formaçao Professional “Frei Giorgio Zulianello” of M’Banza Congo in north Angola. The Center was founded twenty years ago by the Capuccini friars of the Veneto province and is currently managed mixed public-private and welcomes abandoned minors, some of whom are accused of sorcerer. The description of how this experience took place becomes an opportunity to reflect on theoretical-practical issues with respect to the psycho-social intervention that we believe needs continuous revisiting based on the peculiarities of both the client and the socio-cultural and anthropological characteristics of the environment where the intervention takes place.
