The health emergency, which led to the progressive reduction of the possibility of meeting and aggregation until lockdown, forced group psychotherapists to the transition from the group in presence to the online setting. Our research group, CSR COIRAG, wondered how this happened by proposing a survey, through a specially prepared survey form, to explore some areas of the transition phase until the first session. Some variables were explored, such as communication and decision making, the setting up of the digital platform, possible changes in the setting and in the style of conducting the first session. The first results are discussed in the light of the methodological limits of such a timely survey.
