At a time when educational work is marked by socio-professional changes and reconfigurations, educational research is urged to investigate how educators initiate processes of reflexivity, in and on their own actions. Educational practice consists of actions, such as words and professional gestures put in place to encourage educational processes. The literature shows how an analysis of professional practices from a reflective perspective can be a valuable tool for detecting knowledge, intentionality and attitudes. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to some studies that use narrative and observation to investigate professional attitudes and gestures in education, and to embolden reflexivity among professionals.
