This work aims to systematize the relevance of some theoretical contributions made in the pedagogical field by Paulo Freire (1921-1997) for the development of a Liberating and Transforming Critical Education in Latin America, which, in our opinion, show the strength and relevance of this Brazilian educator and his liberating critical pedagogical thought. Through the article we dive into the pedagogical knowledges that were not completely developed and treated in depth by Freire but have been developed by his disciples. These themes, in our understanding, enrich the Pedagogy of the Oppressed, the Pedagogy of Hope and the Pedagogy that Freire brilliantly delineated in his works.
