Le traiettorie di sviluppo della funzione di gestione operativa nelle aziende sanitarie italiane: evidenze dal caso Lombardo

Abstract

Il presente studio esamina la diffusione dell’Operations Management (OM) nelle aziende sanitarie attraverso tre prospettive: (i) il suo ruolo all’interno delle organizzazioni, (ii) gli strumenti utilizzati e (iii) le sfide all’implementazione. I dati sono stati raccolti mediante un questionario somministrato alle aziende sanitarie in Lombardia (popolazione target di 40 unità, con tasso di risposta del 65%). I risultati evidenziano come le aziende sanitarie lombarde abbiano creato uffici specifici per l’OM, ma con variazioni nella composizione, obiettivi e responsabilità. È carente l’uso di strumenti basati sui dati, come Six Sigma e Intelligenza Artificiale.
Infatti, una principale sfida è la mancanza di dati affidabili per gestire i flussi di pazienti.
