The job of the analyst today: Between will, possibility and potential

Abstract

The Author proposes an interpretation of the spirit of our times and the problems of the present, placing them in relation to the demand for analytical training today and the role and function of the analyst. The gaze is predominantly directed at the complexity of the psyche and from this angle the importance of the analyst's personality as a factor in therapy is explored.
