Abstract

In this dialogue, promoted by Rivista Gruppi, Luciana Bianchera and Salvatore Inglese tell us about the research they carry out in collaboration with Alberto Eiguer on the integration of different cultures and thought epistemologies. Everything started from Luciana’s need to confront with experts about what emerges in the word groups with the migrants she coordinates. The contents emerging in these groups are read through different perspectives: psychoanalysis, operational psychoanalysis and ethnopsychiatry. Their experience is an example of how very different matrices can be compared, dialogued and integrated. The writing starts with the questioning of what is an enigma. This construct is the focal point of all the work, and it is considered from various perspectives. Luciana explains the story of this research, born to answer many enigmas, and Salvatore talks about his training to explain what ethnopsychiatry is, for many of us, an enigmatic discipline. An essential part of the research has been the study of mythology and magic, unthinkable and unthinkable aspects that have to do with the presence of the invisible that emerges in the groups of words, and of language management: the various translations can become a bridge that creates a space of other, new thinking, that “betrays” rather than translating and allows new horizons of meaning.
