Abstract

Design-Based Research is a mixed method research approach that aims to develop new knowledge and practices by following an iterative cycle of designing, prototyping, and testing educational artifacts or interventions. The paper describes the experience of designing an educational toy for girls and boys made following this methodological framework, illustrating its constituent steps, data collection and analysis.
