The journal covers aspects of communication and information that qualify the complex character of the world-society. Adopting an inter-disciplinary approach, it publishes contributions from people studying and researching in various fields of communication, including cultural and consumption processes, the media and communication technology. It also covers disciplines related to media studies, anthropology, socio-semiotics, linguistics and statistics. The journal aims to evaluate theoretical and empirical contributions and to provide a point of reference for experimental empirical analysis and the application of methodologies of advanced research into the evolutive context of communication and contemporary culture - the media and Internet, above all. Sociologia della Comunicazione represents a valid point of theoretical reference for faculty students and those following Sociology and Science of Communication courses, as well as for scholars of communication and the media, and observers interested in the communicative and relational processes of the relationship between individuals and society. The journal has a monographic section, a section for contributions on themes related to the latest scientific debate, and reviews of Italian and foreign literature relevant to the communication discipline.
