The “MultiMind - The Multilingual Mind” project was funded by the European Union's Horizon2020 research and innovation programme and constitutes a European research and training network on multilingualism. Adopting a multidisciplinary perspective, it deals with a range of issues related to multilingualism, covering the social, cognitive, linguistic, neurobiological, and clinical levels.
The project has been structured into several working packages, each devoted to a specific topic. Some of these sub-projects led to the production of a series of Policy Reports as a final product addressed to decision-makers and policy-makers. Each report summarizes the main elements of the analysis of previous knowledge and new knowledge achieved and validated through the activities of the project itself, and proposes some recommendations based on the results of the research.
The Policy Reports reported here are specifically dedicated to the assessment and intervention in bilingual children with Language and Learning Disorders, to the support of language development and literacy in the different languages spoken, and to children and adults with a migration history learning an L2 in formal educational settings.
