LGBTQIA+ e intersezionalità: inclusività in terapia

Abstract

Una terapia cognitivocomportamentale sensibile alle trasformazioni sociali contemporanee è oggi chiamata a interrogarsi su come accogliere in modo più accurato l’esperienza che le persone LGBTQIA+ portano all’interno della stanza di terapia. Il presente lavoro illustra come l’integrazione di questi temi possa essere intesa come un affinamento delle tecniche terapeutiche, utile a comprendere meglio il contesto in cui il modo specifico delle persone di vedere e sentire il mondo si costruisce e si rinforza. Attraverso i modelli del minority stress e dell’intersezionalità, vengono esplorati i meccanismi mediante i quali l’ambiente sociale si inserisce nella struttura cognitiva ed emotiva dellə paziente. Particolare attenzione viene posta all’integrazione della prospettiva postrazionalista di Guidano (Guidano, 1991) e

della teoria dei sistemi motivazionali di Liotti (Liotti, 2004), mostrando come le esperienze di discriminazione si intreccino con i pattern di attaccamento e le organizzazioni di significato personale. Il lavoro sottolinea l’importanza di un posizionamento etico chiaro dellə terapeutə e di un equilibrio tra validazione dell’esperienza discriminatoria e promozione dell’agency dellə paziente.
