Today it is important to reflect, especially, on the contribution that educational research can offer to public policies in the field of education, training and orientation, for the crisis of the family, school and training systems. This paper aims to highlight that the opportunity to clarify in which "terms" and under "conditions" educational research can be a resource for public policies, the need to deepen, from a methodological point of view, the criteria in reason of which to attribute/judge this function and the related methods/tools appropriate to them and the need to face ethical questions connected with the relationship between pedagogy and policies are complex issues intrinsically interconnected.</p> ER -
